I am a music enthusiast. I find the world soulless without music and songs.
When I was a young girl, I didn’t know that I could actually sing and carry tunes. All I know was, I enjoy music the most when I sing with my favorite singer then. It was only during my teen-age years that I was convinced that I am indeed blessed with singing prowess. Thanks to those affirmations and inspiring comments I earned from my family, friends, and music teachers.
It was during my high school days when I started joining glee clubs and eventually landed on local bands here in the city. I discovered how pleasurable the feeling was when you’re singing and performing for people. It’s more than a bonus for me to hear the crowd requesting for more songs from us. That’s completely rewarding and heartwarming at the same time.
Since I’ve been a netizen for so many years now, I came across this site called Guitartutee and got interested with their mission to help struggling musicians learn how to play their favorite songs using the guitar. I play guitar too by the way. After several months I met the people behind this wonderful site and was asked to do covers for GT website. I felt excitement to its highest point when we started planning for our shoot with my friendly GT “Kuyas”. I can now perform for a bigger crowd anytime and anywhere this time.
Even up to now, I still have the same feeling of elation whenever I do Guitartutee sessions and perform with my band mates. I just hope that people would still continue to support me as I help improve my singing ability for a much better performance of yours truly, Clara Reyes.
